The
traditional Prime Minister of Rumuepirikom Kingdom and the Vice Chairman of
Apara Council of Chiefs, Obiri Ehie Apara, Chief Nyeka Owabie has called on the
general public to disregard the notion wrongly associated with chief’s council
as in idol worshipping.
Speaking
in an interview in Port Harcourt, Chief Nyeka Owabie said since he
was introduced into the Obiri Ehie Apara Kingdom, he has not seen any
camouflage of materials or any cultural operation in the form of idol
worshipping.
Chief
Nyeka Owabie stressed that as a traditional court of arbitration, a cross-section
of the general public have testified to the good works of Obiri Ehie Apara
towards bringing lasting peace to critical issues of disagreement across
various sections of the general public.
He
added that Obiri Ehie Apara in the whole of Apara Kingdom comprising the nine
sons of Apara in Obio Akpor Local Government Area, LGA and all the peoples of
Rebisi in the Port Harcourt City LGA, have successfully resolved a lot of
critical issues that defied solutions.
