Beautiful' mum-of-four 'killed herself jumping in front of train at packed station after sending text message and giving bag to stranger'

A 'beautiful' mum-of-four killed herself by jumping in front of a Virgin train at a packed train station after giving her bag to a stranger, witnesses have said.

Friends and family have named Charlotte Cash as the woman who died after being hit by a London-bound train at Wigan North Western station yesterday afternoon.
Commuters - including Team GB athlete Jenny Meadows - were left horrified after witnessing the incident just after 3.15pm.
Witnesses said 34-year-old Charlotte, believed to be a mother-of-four, was sending a text message on her phone moments before she was struck by the London-bound train.
Athlete Jenny wrote on Twitter: "Feeling heartbroken that a young girl has just taken her life in front of me at Wigan train station. If in need please speak out."
The 800-metre runner added: "She was texting and had a short conversation with a lady. The lady said she seemed fine. Seconds later jumped as train approached."
