Police arrest 3 suspects who allegedly murdered Jumia delivery man in Port Harcourt

 

 Police in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, have arrested three suspects, two males and female, for killing a Jumia delivery man who delivered 2 iphone 7 and a motorcycle to them along Ada George area in Port Harcourt.

  The body of the delivery man was found inside a septic tank and the police detectives had to pull the dead body tied from the tank. He was said to have been declared missing on Saturday and the police began a search for him until he was found in the septic tank within the compound where he delivered the phones. The three suspects, according to the police are Sodienye Mbatumukeke, 28, Excel Naabe 25, and Joy Eluwa. The body of the victim has been deposited in the mortuary.

The arrest was made possible following a tip off by neighbours who suspected foul movement within the compound. Investigation began on Saturday when he was declared missing.
The arrest was made by men of the Rivers state Special Anti-Robbery Squad which was led by the state commissioner of police, Zaki Ahmed. He led the team to the scene of the incident in Port Harcourt. The state police public relations officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, said the police acted on intelligence and nabbed the three suspects. He said the suspects are helping the police on how to arrest others fingered in the dastardly act. The commissioner of police appealed to members of the public to always help the police to solve crimes by sharing useful information, promising to flush out all criminal elements in the state.
