A mother has been reunited with the son she gave up for adoption after 53 years apart.
Ann Lowery, 73, gave birth to her son Gary Brading Collins when she was just 20.

She was living in Zimbabwe at the time, and felt she had no choice but to give the child up as she was not married and to raise it would have brought stigma to her and her parents.
After over half a century later, the pair was reunited last Thursday when Mr Collins travelled from his home in Brisbane, Australia to his mother's home in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
"It has been a bit overwhelming," said Mr Collins, who has been searching for his biological mother for over a decade.
"It was also a great relief to not only find her, but to know that she is still alive and in such good health. The whole trip has been very emotional for me, not only meeting my mother but also other relatives who share my genes.
"It has been a fantastic experience to spend time with her and learn more about her. I find it amazing that we are actually remarkably similar despite not knowing each other for so many years."
