A mum was slapped with a 70 fine after overstaying in a supermarket car park to breastfeed her daughter.
After finishing her shopping she needed to feed Ella and as a result she overstayed the maximum three hour parking period for which she was handed the fine.
After finishing her shopping she needed to feed Ella and as a result she overstayed the maximum three hour parking period for which she was handed the fine.
Distraught Ms Hayes, of Clarence Square, Brighton, tried appealing to parking firm Smart Parking, which manages Asdas car park, but was initially told the 70 fine would be upheld.
A few weeks later I received a parking charge notice stating that I had overstayed the maximum stay period by 26 minutes.
I explained they should be able to clearly see me feeding my baby in the passenger seat and it should be a valid reason for parking over the maximum stay time.Smart parking replied to say the parking charge is being upheld and I must pay the 70 fine.
