A heartbroken mother heard her baby's "last breath" as she was being breastfed in the early hours of the morning.
The tragic 17-day-old tot “suddenly went floppy” in the arms of mother Farah Rashid, an inquest heard.
She called 999 who told her to start performing CPR on her baby girl Noor-ul-ain.
The inquest was told that the mother-of-three, 33, started to see blood trickle from her child’s nose, reports Wales Online.
The girl – born premature at 5lb 7oz – was pronounced dead later at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
Mum Farah said: “I was feeding my daughter and when she stopped I started to wind her like I normally do.“She’d had less milk than usual but I wasn’t worried. Then as she was on my knee she suddenly went floppy, her skin felt cold.
“I tried to bring her round while I rang my husband and when he didn’t answer I called an ambulance.
“It was so frightening - my other two girls were asleep and I was giving my babyCPR.
“When I was giving CPR I heard her make a gasping sound and for a second I thought she was going to be okay.
“Then at the hospital doctors told me she had died and I knew that sound was her last breath.”
