President Buhari visits National Hospital, gives aid to Abuja bomb attacks victims

President, Muhammadu Buhari  accompanied by the Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun on Sunday visited the Trauma Centre of the National Hospital where victims of the Friday night bomb attacks at Nyanya and Kuje parts of the Federal Capital Territory are currently receiving treatments.

Buhari, during his visit, wished the survivors of the bomb attacks  full and speedy recovery. He also assured the survivors that medical bills would be fully taken care of by the Federal Government.
Another benefactor from the president’s visit was a young girl who was shot by armed robbers when their home was raided and her family were unable to foot the bills.
President Buhari ordered Mallam Abba Kyari, his Chief of Staff  to settle the sum ofN286,790.00 medical bills of the girl who is in the Paediatric Ward of the hospital.
Deborah Stephen, the girl’s mother became emotional on sighting the President who also visited the intensive care unit, the paediatric unit and general wards of the National Hospital.
Dr Jafaru Momoh, Chief Medical Director of the National Hospital expressed his appreciation on the President’s visit and was of the opinion that it would further aid the patient’s recovery and facilitate their psychological sense of being valued and loved by their country.
