The family of a nine-year-old schoolgirl who died after being hit by a
car have paid tribute to their bright, bubbly, loving, caring and
sensitive young girl.
Aleena Kausar was walking to a religious studies class with her mum and cousin when she was involved in a collision with a white Audi A5 on Bacup Road last Friday evening.
Aleena had a very open and loving personality and a lot of people responded to her in kind.
The accountant also praised Lancashire Police and road policing officers DC Louise Backey and PC Mick Roberts for their incredible support and sensitivity.
Sgt David Hurst of the Road Policing Unit said: This is a tragic incident in which a little girl has very sadly lost her life and my thoughts remain with her family at this extremely difficult time.
