In a This Day report, Senator Urhoghide noted this in Abuja on Sunday, September 27.

The forum was said to have met severally in the last few days to perfect its plot against the embattled Senate president, Bukola Saraki.
There have also been reports attributed to ranking senators claiming that some senators were being offered $50,000 by top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress to ensure they impeach the Senate president.
However, Urhoghide who represents Edo South on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party said: “It will be very difficult to impeach the Senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki, and in the event that the All Progressives Congress succeeds in removing him using the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), the party will still not be able to produce the Senate President.” Many political monitors are of the belief that Saraki’s current trial at the CCT is part of the secret plots designed by his “political enemies’’ to get him out of the office as it was learned that some of the APC leaders have been meeting with the APC senators and a few PDP senators to impeach the Senate President
Negating the notion that some PDP senators were working with the APC to impeach the Senate president, Urhoghide said that there was nothing like that stressing that it was not true and that all the PDP senators are working together.
The senator confirmed that there have been plans by some APC leaders to remove Senator Saraki. He said: “Usually you don’t know what will be in the Order Paper until Tuesday morning; but so many things will be discussed on Tuesday.”
Meanwhile, Dr Tunji Braithwaite has slammed the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government over its purported fight against corruption in the country stating categorically that the Nigerian president is yet to kick-start his fight against corruption in the country.
