Nathan Kearney, 34, was this week given a life sentence after he was found guilty of the manslaughter of Bill Tomlinson, reports the Loughborough Echo .

Kearney, of Braunstone, will serve a minimum of six years and nine months before being eligible for parole.Emma Tomlinson, 24, of Leicester, was sentenced to three years after previously pleading guilty to perverting the course of justice and admitting to being involved in cleaning the scene of the death and the disposal and hiding of the body.
Police had been contacted by members of the public on February 21 concerned that Emma Tomlinson and her boyfriend Kearney were involved in the disappearance of 64-year-old Mr Tomlinson.
In a bid to destroy evidence Kearney first set fire to bin and he and Emma Tomlinson later moved it out onto the street on collection day, presumably hoping Bill would not be discovered.
