Rivers State Commissioner for Urban Development, Mr. Chinyere
Igwe says a team has been set up by the Ministry to work in synergy with the
Port Harcourt Electricity
Distribution Company to ensure that collapsed poles in some areas of the State
does not affect the aesthetics of the state.
Mr. Igwe however cautioned residents of the State against
transacting any form of business under electricity poles
the Commissioner also said, an integrity test has been
conducted on the Nigerian Bar Association Law building under construction in
Port Harcourt to determine its suitability for habitation.
Mr. Igwe however said
preliminary investigations showed that the collapse section of the structure
was not due to poor quality of materials.
