The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria TUC, has
suspended its participation in the nationwide strike over the removal of fuel
subsidy.
In a statement by the TUC Chairman in Rivers state,
Mr. Chika Onuegbu, said the suspension of the strike was based on agreement
reached with the Federal Government.
The TUC Chairman
directed that all affiliates and members of TUC in Rivers state should
go about their normal business.
Mr. Onuegbu further emphasised that TUC will not
participate in any strike over the removal fuel subsidy.
