
The people of Mbiama Engenni
in of Rivers State have again called on the
State Government to provide adequate security to curb the rising wave of
criminality in the area.
The Call was made by the
Paramount Ruler and Okilomakie of Mbiama-Engenni Community, King Shadow Abel
while addressing residents of the area.
King Abel while expressing
worry on the activities of hoodlums in the Orashi area of the State, charged
residents of the community to start the identification and verification of
people coming into the community to ensure that suspected criminals who flee
other communities are arrested and brought to book.
The Paramount Ruler of
Mbiama-Engenni Community called for curfew to be imposed in the area to check
the activities of hoodlums.
The Vice Chairman of Igbo
Community in the area, Chief Isaiah Oguzie, said his people would assist in
checking markets and uncompleted buildings to forestall hoodlums turning the
structures to their hide-outs.
In recent times, there have
been reports of criminality in the Orashi area of Rivers State.
