NUPENG And Reaction on Pump Price

While the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, is threatening to embark on strike over the increase in pump price, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, says the solution to all the problems bedeviling the oil sector is payment on Joint Venture Projects by the Federal Government.

Speaking to Treasure FM Correspondent, the Chairman of PENGASSAN in South-South/South-East, Mr. Azubuike Azubuike, said the Union was more interested in full deregulation of the downstream sector to secure the employment of its workers.

Mr. Azubuike stressed that Government should do everything within its power to make the economy robust again.

He called on the Federal Government to involve all stakeholders in the deregulation of the downstream oil sector.
