PDP CONVENTION

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP has constituted a seven man care taker committee under the chairmanship of Alhaji Maikarifi and senator Ben Obi as the secretary to organize a new national convention within the next ninety days.

This was the outcome of the national convention of the party held in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital.
However the convention took place amidst controversy. Meanwhile, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has assured investors that the state is peaceful and safe for invesstment.
Governor Wike who made  the assertion in his welcome address at the PDP convention told party faithful that the party would overcome its present challenges and be stronger.
Present at the convention were PDP governors, former senate president senator David Mark and current senate president, Ike Ekweremadu among others.
