Traders in The State Laments On The Hike In Prices of Items

Meanwhile, traders at the Mile-1 Market have decried the increase in price of food items since the hike in pump price of fuel.

The traders represented by Madam Gift Ndubuisi stated this during a peaceful protest by the Nigeria Labour Congress in Rivers State.

They lamented that a basket of fresh pepper is now fifteen thousand naira as against previous price of three thousand naira.

The traders appealed to the President Muhammadu Buhari led government to reconsider the plights of the Nigerian masses and revert the sudden increase in the price of fuel.
