DPC URGES WIKE TO IMPROVE ON SECURITY IN THE STATE


The Democratic People’s Congress DPC has called on the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to improve on the security of lives and property in the state as his administration marks one year in office.


State chairman of the party Mr. Chinedu Onyema who made the call in an interview with Treasure FM in Port Harcourt said while the governor had achieved appreciable success in the area of road construction and infrastructural development, there has been an increase in cult clashes and other criminal activities in the State.
The State Party Chairman also called for the inclusion of more members of the opposition parties in the current administration in keeping to his promise of uniting all political stakeholders in the state.
Mr. Onyema who stated that his party has embarked on massive grass root enlightenment programmes for her members, also expressed satisfaction with the party’s performance in Bayelsa governorship election and the Local Government elections in the Federal Capital Territory.
