CLASHES AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE ASABA

Two rival groups of protesters have clashed at the entrance gate to Delta State Government House Asaba despites heavy security presence.

One of the groups led by Comrade Fejiro Oliver was clamouring for the arrest and prosecution of the immediate past governor of Delta State Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan over alleged diversion of two hundred and thirty six billion naira DESOPADEC fund.
             
According to an eyewithness (Sam Erhunmwunsee) reports that while the protest was going on , another group identified as pro- Uduaghan youths invaded the scene and disrupted the protest.
The  aggrieved protesters who later regrouped to continue the protest was again attacked by the pro-Uduaghan group.
The situation disrupted human and vehicular movement as residents, passengers and motorists were seen scampering for safety.
It however took the combined efforts of security agencies to restore normalcy to the area.
